Wilderness Overnight Work Trip!

The second wilderness overnighter was a great success! Thanks to 10 OTG crew members and 4 USFS crew who cleared over 100 downed trees, removed encroaching brush and repaired trail surfaces in two days, using hand tools and cross cut saws. Justin Mitchell of Action Adventures donated his time and a pack string of mules to haul the group's camping gear and tools up to the high point. The crews worked on the Cutler Creek and Left Fork Cutler Creek trails, and upper parts of the Baldy and Dexter Creek trails within the federally designated wilderness. What a great collaboration!  See our Facebook page for great photos.

Thank you to Jen and Rick at City of Ouray, Cimarron Coffee, The Goods, and Camp Bell's Cajun for advertising our event, and thanks to the US Forest Service for help on the trail. Most of all thank you to the workers who came out and gave their time and energy to work on our local trails! What a perfect day!!
